ODERCO established an OCTG department to meet the growing demand for oil and gas products.  Demanding high standards from our vendors provides the best products to meet the exacting needs of the highly specialized gas and oil drilling markets. All of our manufacturers are certified by the American Petroleum Institute as meeting their rigorous compliance requirements. All tests and inspection results and product traceability data are fully documented and maintained in a computerized data base.

Some of the OCTG tubing and casing available for your company’s requirements include:

  • General drill pipes, casing pipes and tubing conforming to API standards for oil field and deep well drilling
  • API H40 tubing/pipe – general purpose pipes conforming to API specification 5CT
  • API J55 general purpose pipes for tubing applications, similar to specification K55 with lower minimum tensile strength conforming to API specification 5CT
  • API K55 general purpose pipes used primarily in casings conforming to API specification 5CT
  • API L80 tubing/pipes conforming to API specification 5CT with a controlled yield strength with hardness test requirement of 23 HRC maximum; usually used in wells with sour (H2S) environments or deep sour wells
  • API N80 or N80 Q&T (Quench and Tempered) – general purpose pipe manufactured to API specification 5CT
  • API Normalized N80 – lower-cost alternative to standard Q&T N80; pipe walls less than 0.500 inch; inspections, testing and dimensions are in accordance with API 5CT for grade N80. Charpy v-notch impact test absorbed energy results conform to API SR16 and are lower Q&T N80
  • API C90 – an API controlled yield strength grade (25.4 HRC maximum) generally used in sour condensate wells; with required extensive hardness testing, SSCC testing per NACE Standard TM-0177-Method A; minimum threshold stress required is 80% of specified minimum yield strength
  • API C955 – same strength range as T95 and U. S. Steel C95, but without a hardness requirement; generally not used in sour wells
  • API T95 – API controlled yield strength grade (25.4 HRC maximum), the same as API C95 and U. S. Steel C95; generally for use in sour condensate wells; extensive hardness testing is required including SSCC testing per NACE Standard TM-0177-Method A; minimum threshold stress required is 80% of specified minimum yield strength
  • API P110 – generally used in deep wells; this grade is not suitable for most sour condensate wells
  • API Q125 – API grade for deep well service, generally not for use in sour condensate wells; quadrant hardness testing is required (no specified hardness limits other than the variation between readings); impact testing required for each heat and/or lot; typically EMI and UT NDT inspections are required

 

       OCTG

           General purpose pipe manufactured to API specification                  5CT.General purpose pipe             manufactured to API                       specification 5CT. Similar to K55 except the minimum                    tensile strength is lower.Usually, this grade is used in                        tubing  applications.

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 40,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 80,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 60,000 psi
                API J55

General purpose pipe manufactured to API specification 5CT. Similar to K55 except             the minimum tensile strength is lower.Usually, this grade is used in tubing                             applications.

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 55,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 80,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 75,000 psi
  • Hardness Requirement: None
              API K55

           General purpose pipe manufactured to API specification 5CT. Usually, this grade is              used in casing applications.

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 55,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 80,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 95,000 psi
  • Hardness Requirement: None
               API L80

            Manufactured to API specification 5CT. This is a controlled yield strength material               with a hardness testing requirement. L80 is usually used in wells with sour (H2S)                 environments.

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 80,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 95,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 95,000 psi
  • Hardness Requirement: 23 HRC maximum
               API N80 (or N80 Q&T)

            General purpose pipe manufactured to API specification 5CT.

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 80,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 110,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 100,000 psi
  • Hardness Requirement: None
              API Normalized N80

           A lower-cost alternative to standard Quench and Tempered API N80 (walls less than            0.500 inch). Inspection, testing and dimensions are in accordance with API 5CT for             grade N80. Charpy v-notch impact test absorbed energy results meet API SR16 and             are lower than Quench and Tempered N80.

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 80,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 110,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 100,000 psi
  • Hardness Requirement: None
              API C90

           API controlled yield strength grade generally for use in sour condensate wells.                        Extensive hardness testing is required along with SSCC testing per NACE Standard              TM-0177-Method A. The minimum threshold stress required is 80 percent of                          specified minimum yield strength.

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 90,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 105,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 100,000 psi
  • Hardness Requirement: 25.4 HRC maximum
                API C955

            API grade with the same strength range as T95 and U. S. Steel C95, but without a                   hardness requirement. This grade is not generally considered for use in sour                           condensate wells since no hardness restrictions or testing is required and no SSCC               testing is required.

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 95,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 110,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 105,000 psi
  • Hardness Requirement: None
               API T95

           API controlled yield strength grade, the same as API C95 and U. S. Steel C95.                         Generally for use in sour condensate wells. Extensive hardness testing is required                 along with SSCC testing per NACE Standard TM-0177-Method A. The minimum                   threshold stress required is 80 percent of specified minimum yield strength.

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 95,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 110,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 105,000 psi
  • Hardness Requirement: 25.4 HRC maximum
               API P110

           API grade for general use in deep wells. This grade is not generally considered                        suitable for sour condensate wells.

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 110,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 140,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 125,000 psi
  • Hardness Requirement: None
              API Q125

           API grade for deep well service, not generally for use in sour condensate wells.                        Quadrant hardness testing is required without any specified limits other than the                  variation between readings. Impact testing is required for each heat and/or lot. NDT            inspection is required with two methods of inspection (typically EMI and UT are                    performed on this product).

  • Minimum Yield Strength: 125,000 psi
  • Maximum Yield Strength: 150,000 psi
  • Minimum Tensile Strength: 135,000 psi
  • Hardness Requirement: No limit specified – Hardness variation requirement
